Thank you to everyone who helped to make the 18th LJMU Teaching and Learning Conference such a success.

More than 450 people attended the various keynotes, presentations and workshops held over the two days and the feedback has been extremely positive.

Hosted by the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) with the Teaching and Learning Academy, and opened by the Interim Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Mark Power, the theme of the conference was 'Developing inclusive learning cultures'.

The three keynote speakers explored different aspects of inclusivity and diversity, and talked about our individual and collective responsibilities. You can listen back to each of those speeches using the links below:

Professor Clare Milsom, Director of the Teaching and Learning Academy, said: "The strong commitment to furthering inclusivity and diversity amongst staff and students at LJMU was evident from their engagement with the keynotes and discussions that took place during presentations and over breaks. This will be a strong basis from which to develop practice and begin to close attainment gaps."

Feedback from staff who attended the conference included:

"The conference is like a breath of fresh air; a moment to step back and think about what I and others are doing to improve."

"I attended the keynote talks by Stacy Johnson and Lee Elliott Major, and both were absolutely excellent. Very inspiring! I hope LJMU will learn from everything that was said. … It was a great occasion to see what everyone is doing and share ideas."

"This is my first LJMU T&L conference and I thoroughly enjoyed it."

"Overall a great range of informative and inspiring presentations! Thank you for creating a thoughtful and well-paced programme"
